Forum rules

1) Orthography

Orthography is a very intensively discussed topic in forums on the internet (at least in German forums).
The internet is a very fast media, as well as forums are. Therefore it could happen that articles have some typos, as long as they have an interesting content. Nevertheless articles should have a certain grammatical and orthographical level.
As an author you always should think about the readability of your articles. Too much errors and a strange grammar might make your text unreadable and that is the last you want.

2) Publishing of personal letters and communications

At least in Germany it is generally not allowed to publish letters or other personal communications without the permission of the author in any media (including the internet). Therefore it is also forbidden to publish or cite personal communications in our forum. If we get notice of such an event, we will delete the corresponding entry!
Furthermore we will support the author - as far as we can - if he wants to take legal actions.

3) Internal forum

Articles in the internal forum are on basis of the closed character of the community, similar to personal communications. Therefore it is also not allowed to cite or publish articles of the internal forum in the public accessible forum or make it in any other way accessible for not-EGSA users. (Compare #2).

4) Insults

Insults in any form are not tolerated in our forum!
Very controversial discussions tends to get a little bit rough to the ends, nevertheless there should be a basic level of respect to each other!
If we get to know of insults, we will reserve the right to delete the entry as well as exclude the user temporarily from our forums.
Our forums are for the exchange of knowledge over the EGSA an the garters, so please be kind to each other.

5) EGSA

The EGSA as an association is running www.EGSA.de as a service for their user and all fans of garters. In contrary to the official pages of our homepage the forum does not necessarily reflect the official opinion neither of the EGSA nor of the majority of our members. Please consider also that only a small proportion of our members are regularly online!
The EGSA -as the operator of this forum- can not be hold responsible for any entry entered by a user of our forum!

6) Moderation

The forums of the EGSA are not moderated!
Every user of our forum should feel himself responsible to contradict erroneous articles, thereby, unmasking bad advices or wrong articles.
All discussions should stick to the facts.
Please consider that the forum can not replace the study of books! Furthermore, in case your animal seems to be ill, you should always visit a vet.
The forum can be only a additionally help in both cases.

7) Real names are obligatory

The forums of the EGSA are public but not anonymous. Therefore, all users of our forums need to enter their real names (fore- and surname). This name will be displayed to registered users below the username on every forum article. Furthermore we ask all users to enter their e-mail address and their city. Both will not be visible to other users without the agreement of the user. The EGSA reserves itself the right to control the entered data.

8) Keep your account secret

The account data you received from the EGSA are only for you. Please keep them secret. It is forbidden to share the data with others. If you believe that your account data were compromised, please inform us so that we can take certain actions.

9) Sanctions und rights of usage

The EGSA has the right to lock out users from the forum or the website, temporarily or permanently without a reason.
For all published articles on the website www.EGSA.de the author grants an unlimited license for the text to the EGSA. The copyright stays with the author.
The EGSA can delete, edit, move or modify in any other way all articles in the forum. Especially, if the article violates one of the above forum rules.

10) Leaving the forum

If a user leaves the forum, all personal data, except the user-, fore- and surname, will be deleted. The user's entries in our forum will be marked with the username and real name further on. The EGSA decides in its sole discretionum, whether and/or how long the entries will persist in our forum

11) Rule of invalidity

If any of these rules are -for any reason- invalid, all other rules are still in action.

Controlling

The members of the EGSA elected people to form the forumrat. This forumrat is thought to act as a board of abitration. If you have any complains about an article or think one of the articles might contravene the forum rules please inform the forumrat.
The forumrat will decide if and what kind of actions has to been taken.
